Viktor the Machine Herald Leaked

Viktor the Machine Herald
Viktor is a ranged mage with a mix of single target spells, area-of-effect crowd control, vector-targeting, and re-positional damage. This versatility is further augmented by his unique passive: a permanent item with different upgrade paths providing Viktor with both increased stats and bonus effects on one of his abilities. This high-skill cap mage is the perfect choice for those who wish to gain the advantage via their strategic decision making.
Abilities:
- Passive: Evolving Technology Viktor starts with a Hex Core that provides him with stats and can be upgraded in the store to augment one of his abilities. The Hex Core can only be upgraded once, and cannot be sold back to the store.
- Power Transfer – Viktor blasts an enemy unit dealing magic damage, returning a portion of the damage dealt as a shield.
- Ability Augment: Increases Viktor’s Movement Speed by 30% for 3 seconds
- Gravity Field – Viktor conjures a heavy gravitational field, slowing all enemies and stacking a debuff every 0.5 seconds. At 3 stacks enemies inside are stunned for 1.5 seconds.
- Ability Augment: Gravity Field has an additional 30% cast range.
- Death Ray – Viktor uses his robotic arm to fire a chaos beam that cuts across the field in a line, dealing damage to any opponents struck in its path.
- Ability Augment: Death Ray sets fire to enemies, dealing 30% additional magic damage over 4 seconds.
- Chaos Storm (Ultimate) – Viktor conjures a singularity on the field which deals magic damage and briefly silences enemies. The singularity then does magic damage to all nearby enemies every second. Viktor can redirect the singularity.
Lore:
Early in life, Viktor discovered his passion for science and invention, particularly in the field of mechanical automation. He attended Zaun’s prestigious College of Techmaturgy and led the team that constructed Blitzcrank – a scientific breakthrough that he expected to vault him to the top of his profession. Unfortunately his triumph was usurped by Professor Stanwick, who stole credit for developing Blitzcrank’s sentience and later used Viktor’s research to revive Urgot. Viktor’s appeals for justice fell on deaf ears, and he sank into a deep depression. He withdrew from the College and barricaded himself in his private laboratory, cutting all human ties. There, in secret, he conceived a project for which nobody else could claim credit. Desiring both to revolutionize his field and to eliminate the jealous human emotions which festered inside him, he engineered parts to replace and improve his own body. When Viktor re-emerged, almost no trace of the original man remained.
Not only had he supplanted the majority of his anatomy, but his personality had changed. His previous hope to better society was replaced by an obsession with what he called ”the glorious evolution.” He saw himself as the patron and pioneer of Valoran’s future – a future in which man would renounce his flesh in favor of superior hextech augmentations. Though Viktor’s initial appeals were met with heavy skepticism, scientists were confounded by the sophistication of his machinery. By integrating his mind with techmaturgical devices, he had been able to drastically accelerate the progress of his research. His transformation had stripped him of what he perceived as his emotional weaknesses, but there was some lingering residue of resentment against the Professor. Viktor joined the League of Legends to pit his inventions against the greatest opponents Valoran could offer, and to correct any weaknesses or inefficiencies that remained.
”In one’s hand, techmaturgy is a tool. As one’s hand, it is liberation.” -Viktor

TF2 Hat Economy Reaches $50 Million
Whіlе hе’s nοt recommending investor action, writer Paul Manwaring dіd ѕοmе number crunching аnd conservatively valued Team Fortress 2‘s unique items economy аt, oh, аbουt $US50 million.
Now, thаt’s nοt $US50 million іn real money thаt Valve hаѕ еіthеr mаdе, οr hаѕ bееn invested bу gamers іntο a system аnd іѕ floating around loose somewhere. Hats аnd unique items аrе found bу unlocking crates, crates аrе unlocked wіth keys аnd keys саn bе асqυіrеd fοr free, basically аt thе equivalence οf 18 dropped weapons tο one key. (Thеу mау аlѕο bе bουght fοr actual money, tοο.) Thіѕ іѕ a valuation, nothing more.
Manwaring examined thе statistics kept (аnd mаdе public) fοr TF2 аnd, long ѕtοrу short, finds thаt a community οf 30,000 concurrent players each day іn TF2 οn Steam іѕ injecting $US1.54 million worth οf “refined metal” іntο thіѕ virtual economy each week. Refined metal іѕ whаt сrеаtеѕ a key. Aѕ thе hat economy bеgаn іn Mау 2009, Manwaring estimates thаt “wе саn bе confident іn a minimum figure οf $US52.7 million,” аѕ іtѕ valuation, “without even taking іntο account weapons bουght іn thе store, promotional items аnd more. Thе trυе figure іѕ probably double thіѕ.”
I highly recommend уου read Manwaring’s entire post. Again, іt’s nοt money іn Valve’s bank account. Bυt іt іѕ another way tο characterise thе enthusiasm аnd time investment Team Fortress 2‘s dedicated players sink іntο thе game.

South Park RPG Controversial Class – The Jew
Obsidian recently revealed аll οf thе classes іn thеіr upcoming South Park RPG. Thеrе’s thе fighter, thе thief, thе mage, thе cleric… аnd thе Jew.
Thе οthеr classes аrе self explanatory, bυt thе Jew іѕ apparently a Paladin style character whο іѕ аt hіѕ mοѕt dаngеrουѕ whеn hе іѕ one hit point away frοm death.
Wow. I don’t know whаt еlѕе I wаѕ expecting, bυt still… wow.
Aѕ a hυgе fan οf South Park I’m really looking forward tο thіѕ game — Obsidian hаѕ always done a grеаt job οf working οn οthеr people’s IPs — even whеn іtѕ games аrе flawed, thеу’re still worth playing! I hаνе high hopes.

Pikmin 3 For The Wii U?
Pikmin 3 For The Wii U? - Pikmin 3 is the next, as of yet untitled, game in the Pikmin series for the Wii U, which was hinted at during E3 2008. Shigeru Miyamoto said, when asked about the Pikmin series, “We’re making Pikmin.” Nothing else about the Pikmin game in development was revealed, however. On 24th July 2008, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed in an interview, “…They [the Nintendo development teams] are all working on new Mario, Zelda and Pikmin projects”.
The announcement of the New Play Control! Pikmin games raised questions as to the feasibility of a Pikmin 3; following, in an IGN interview, it was made clear that the re-releases of Pikmin and Pikmin 2 are separate from Pikmin 3: Cammie Dunaway: It’s not the Pikmin that Mr. Miyamoto referred to, no. Mr. Miyamoto referred to a new Pikmin, as opposed to the classics that are being re-released on Wii.
During E3 2009, Miyamoto said the following when asked about the lack of mention of Pikmin 3 during the Nintendo press conference:
I’m sorry. Unfortunately we haven’t been able to expand the team size very much, because we’ve been working on so many different games that we’ve shown off at the show. So the team is working very hard, but it’s a bit of a small team.” He also mentioned that his “basic idea was that the depth and simplicity of the controls were still there.
On 4th June, in a post-E3 2009 interview, Miyamoto had more to say on the game:
With Pikmin 3, we’ve got all the basics pretty much done. Now it’s just a matter of how do we go in and fill that out? What sort of work do we give our designers? That team has been constantly been moving forward. So with a little time, we’ll be able to make more progress and I hope we can bring you something that will make you happy.
On 19th March 2010, Pikmin 3 was revealed to be “well underway”. The game will be on the Nintendo Wii.
At E3 2010, little more information on the game was given because the other games at the show would distract from it. “Rest assured, though, we are very hard at work on Pikmin.”
In an IGN E3 2010 interview, Miyamoto stated that “[the development process is] maybe getting near to the point where we’ll start increasing the team size.”
In a recent July 1st interview Miyamoto said, “Among my present promises, I have to finish Pikmin quickly, so production is progressing extremely well.”
Pikmin 3 was not mentioned at E3 2011, however, Nintendo’s newly announced successor to the Wii, the “Wii U”, contains backwards compatablitiy with Wii and 3DS games and therefore may shed light on Pikmin 3′s prolonged absence.
On June 8th, 2011, a day after Nintendo’s presetation at E3, Miyamoto apologized for Pikmin 3′s absence once again, and then had this to say:
“We really did want to release Pikmin this year in honor of [the series' 10-year] celebration,” Miyamoto told the crowd. “Earlier, someone asked if we’re working on any other Wii games after Skyward Sword. Well, Pikmin was a Wii game we were working on.
“However, as we’ve been working on Wii U hardware and I’ve been looking at those high-definition graphics and that beautiful controller, I’ve been getting the feeling I wanted to see Pikmin there instead.”
While another delay for the elusive Pikmin sequel didn’t satisfy most fans, Miyamoto mitigated the news somewhat by suggesting the delay won’t be unbearably long.
“Since we’ve been working on Pikmin Wii for so long, maybe it won’t be too long before we see it on Wii U,” he teased.
He also joked that there was “one issue: So far, we’ve showed the structure of the Wii U experience and concepts of what can be done with the hardware, but we haven’t announced any titles for the system. The corporate side of me wants to follow the precedent in not announcing any titles during E3. The other side, however, wants to tell you we’re working on Pikmin.”
So while this wasn’t a direct confirmation, anyone capable of reading between the lines should expect to see Pikmin 3 shortly after — or perhaps even at — the Wii U’s launch.
The Wii U’s launch date is 2012, an expected date at IGN during 2010 for Pikmin 3 to come out.
It was announced on October 14th, 2011 that the writer of Pikmin is currently working on a Playstation game called “Army Corps of Hell”, which only seems to further discourage people regarding the likelyhood of Pikmin 3′s production.
Here is a Preview of it Army Corps of Hell:
Miyamoto did imply in an interview with French website “GameBlog.fr” that he is working on a new Zelda game, which is likely a 3DS title:
“We must understand that our main job is to sell games. So personally I do not play as much as I want. I am currently very busy producing a new Zelda, a new Mario and a new Mario Kart on 3DS and a new Pikmin.” However, that quote was translated from Japanese to French to English, so it’s difficult to discern how seriously it should be taken.

How To Get Rid Of The Xbox 360 Dashboard Ads
Among the many tweaks and upgrades (and one downgrade) packed into the Xbox 360 dashboard update was one feature people aren’t very happy about: interactive TV ads.
Fortunately the clever gamers over on Reddit have come up with a solutionfor removing them. Redditer absurdlyobfuscated says there are many ways to do this, but he decided to use OpenDNS because it’s the easiest solution. Straight from Reddit’s intertubes:
- Sign up for an OpenDNS account (it’s free)
- Add a network for your current IP address
- Go to Advanced Settings and next to ‘Domain Typos’, check the box ‘Enable typo correction’ if it’s not already checked and apply
- Got to Web Content Filtering settings and set the filtering level to ‘None’, and under ‘Manage individual domains’, put rad.msn.com and select ‘Always block’ and then click ‘Add domain’.
- On your Xbox, go to System Settings -> Network Settings -> (your connection) -> Configure Network -> DNS settings -> Manual, and enter the OpenDNS IP addresses for the primary and secondary DNS servers: 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220.
- You may need to clear your hard drive cache before ads disappear entirely: System Settings -> Storage -> Hard Drive -> press Y -> Clear System Cache (note that you’ll have to re-download any title updates for any games you play after doing this).
absurdlyobfuscated also suggests reconfiguring your router to use OpenDNS’ DNS servers via a static DNS setting. That way you don’t have to block each Xbox 360 in the house individually. Also, if your IP address changes, you will need to update your OpenDNS network to match.

Xbox Player Temporarily Banned From MW3 For 5000 Days
People are getting hit with 5000-day bands in Modern Warfare 3, and the people behind the game say it’s intentional.
“Yes. If you see this message, it means you’ve been Permabanned (for something bad),” Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling Tweeted today in response to online news site MP1st.
If you receive a 5000-day ban today, don’t worry. You’ll be able to play Modern Warfare 3 again in late 2025.
